About Mt Dhaulagiri Expedition in detail:

Mt Dhaulagiri Expedition puts you through a glorious expedition of this beautiful and challenging mountain ranging at an elevation of 8167 meters, Mt Dhaulagiri. The mountain lies entirely in Nepal and extends about 30 miles featuring tangled topography twisting ridges, glaciers and ice falls. The main crest features with alignment of pyramid shaped peaks rising above 25000 ft. The mountain first climbed by Swiss in 1960 and came in recognition only after an aerial survey by Swiss in 1949. With the name derived from Sanskrit words ‘Dhawala’ and ‘Giri’ meaning ‘White’ and ‘Mountain’ respectively, the peak stands for its name, with its bright skin and the most beautiful panoramic view of the surrounding majestic Himalayas. Ranked seventh in the world’s tallest mountains, the 8167 meters majestic elevation is a very demanding mountain when it comes to climbing. The expedition to its peak will be the most technical climbing experience of your life. Besides the beauty of the peak and its technical challenges, the unpredictable weather condition is another cause that you will need proper acclimatization and the weather study before ascending to the peak. The climb to the summit heads through French Pass (5360m) and Dhampus Pass (5258m) to Base Camp at elevation of around 4740 meters. There will be 4 Camps from the Advance Base Camp (5300m) to the summit. Camp 1 at 5900 meters, Camp 2 at 6400 meters, Camp 3 at 7200 meters and Camp 4 at the eastern ridge at 7500 meters. The rest of the climb to summit is the most precautionary one as the wind is tough enough to set you off the track.
