Overview Mt Shishapangma Expedition is one the most expedition in Tibet accompanied by the spectacular views of Mt. Everest, Mt. Cho Oyu, Gurla Mandata and also the famous Potala Palace and many Tibetan monasteries. Ranking 14th in the world with an elevation of 8103 meters, the peak is considered as one of the easy expedition in Tibet with high rate of success but it equally requires good climbing skills and physical fitness. The route to Shishapangma comprises of the North West route to the mountain with an easy angled slopes ranging to 35 degrees also the standard commercial route. The biggest challenge of the route is passing through from the central part to the main summit along the sharpest of the ridge in the trail. The climb starts from Base Camp (5800m) located on the moraine of Shishapangma Glacier, to Camp 1 located at an elevation of 6200 meters on a flat snowfield. From the Camp 1 we head to Camp 2 (6700m), which is also located on a large flat platform, heading through large snowy plateau with the walls inclined up to 30 degrees. The third and the last camp before summit is located at an altitude of 7400m on a protected safe rock at the bottom of the North Ridge. On the summit day, we ascend on snow and rock ridge to the snow knob of false central summit with snowy knife-edge ridge extending up to 15 meters to the summit. The view is wonderful from the summit with Mt. Everest and Mt. Cho Oyu and many seven thousanders surrounding the summit.
