Manakamana Tour

Manakamana Tour is one of the most spiritual and adventure tour in Nepal with the dwelling of wishes fulfilling Hindu divine Manakamana Goddess. ‘Manna’ referring to heart and ‘Kamana’ referring to wish, describes the feature of the belief. Located at 6 km north from Muglin to south of Gorkha, the temple can be accessed through cable car running from Kuringtar to the hill top temple of Manakamana. The cable car runs to a distance of 2.8 km moving over the Trisuli and Marshangdi river valley. The visit to Manakamana and the cable car ride both is accompanied by the green hills and trails along Trisuli river making the trip a scenic trip as well. The temple is a well decorated temple in a huge square with the road to the temple filled with people selling flowers and fruits, supposedly to be offered to the goddess. The sound of bells, the smell of ‘Baati’ (handmade short strings made of cotton used to offer to the God/Goddess), scent of Agarbatti, and the color put as Tika makes the place already enchanting and makes you feel religious. Besides, residing at such height, the temple also provides a great spectacular view of the Annapurna, Himalchuli and Manaslu. The place can also be reached by a daylong trekking through the narrow valley and hills below.
